Snaparella

This is a common snapping turtle. I spotted her on the roadside when my Mom and I were driving home. We zoomed home. When we got there my Mom told me to stay in the car. So, I waited. When my Mom came back she brought a plastic bin to the car and put it in the trunk. We drove back to the snapper site. When we got to the snapping turtle a lady was attempting to catch it. But my mom said to the lady, "put the turtle in this plastic bin!" So the lady said okay. We drove home with the turtle in the back of the car. Let me tell you she smelled like rotten lettuce. We ran back to our pond and released her. She is still there to this day. I really love her. She smells like garbage. She comes up with a smile when I feed her koi food. This true story happened in 2014. Now, in 2016 she is bigger and friendlier.

Spring Peeper

This is a spring peeper. I found him in my pond last spring. If you listen carefully on an early spring night, you will hear the males go peep-peep-peep! Peepers lay many eggs in ponds. I am playing and observing  him. Is it a he or she? I don't know. Peepers are cool!

Crayfish

Did you know that crayfish, mudbugs and crawdads are all the same thing? I named this crayfish Pinchie because he pinched my Dad on the finger! You do not want to get pinched by one of these big guys. I found him in the Vermilion River. He is an omnivore. He eats fish, insects, and plants. He is kind of cute . . don't you agree? I love him.

Reptile Show - Green Iguana

I went to the Reptile Show with my Dad. Iguanas, frogs, snakes and turtles were at the show. An albino boa slithered up my back and put his head on my shoulder. That was a surprise! This is a picture of a Green Iguana. Look at his bright color!

Mommy Cat, Pretty Boy Floyd and Ernest T. Bass belong to us. Hayu lives with Mrs. Z. Trixie lives with Cyndi the haircutter. Little Rocky went to heaven.

Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck Duck - No Goose

Ducks but no geese included. There are white ducks, yellow ducks, brown ducks and green ducks. There are big ducks and little ducklings. These white ducks live across the street. Sometimes I babysit these ducks. I visit them often. Quack! Quack!
