Eastern Cottontail Rabbit Rescue

This is Fred. He is an Eastern Cottontail Rabbit. We saved him from the barn cats. He is one month old. He has brown fur. He blends into his environment. He has large back feet. His favorite food is clover. He is so very cute. He is old enough to live on his own. So, we took him to my Nana's house to live. Now he is far away from the barn cats.

This is a Ring-Billed Gull. He is a guest at the Lake Erie Nature and Science Center. Fish, rodents, bird eggs are on his menu. I never heard of a bird that eats vegetables but he also eats vegetables. Did you know that birds, reptiles and dinosaurs are related? Look around, you will see birds where you live. Always clean up after yourself when you are at the beach. Garbage can hurt birds.

Catch Observe Release

This is my observation aquarium. I catch, observe and release. You can make one too. Find a clean container and put small rocks on the bottom. Next, fill it with water from a pond. You can add safe decorations. Then use a net to catch pond life. Gently put your catch in the observation aquarium. Observe the pond life. What do you see? Don't forget to release your catch. Have fun!

My Muddy Boots

These are my boots. I wear them to the field and pond. I love them so much.
