This is a spring peeper. I found him in my pond last spring. If you listen carefully on an early spring night, you will hear the males go peep-peep-peep! Peepers lay many eggs in ponds. I am playing and observing him. Is it a he or she? I don't know. Peepers are cool!
Welcome to my blog about science and nature. This blog is especially for kids by a kid who loves animals, insects, reptiles, amphibians, and birds. Put your boots on and get ready to explore with me!

Crayfish
Did you know that crayfish, mudbugs and crawdads are all the same thing? I named this crayfish Pinchie because he pinched my Dad on the finger! You do not want to get pinched by one of these big guys. I found him in the Vermilion River. He is an omnivore. He eats fish, insects, and plants. He is kind of cute . . don't you agree? I love him.

Reptile Show - Green Iguana
I went to the Reptile Show with my Dad. Iguanas, frogs, snakes and turtles were at the show. An albino boa slithered up my back and put his head on my shoulder. That was a surprise! This is a picture of a Green Iguana. Look at his bright color!

Cat Family Rescue
This summer we rescued a Mommy cat and her kittens. Their names are Mommy Cat, Pretty Boy Floyd, Ernest T. Bass, Hayu, Trixie and Little Rocky. At ten weeks they got new homes. Mommy Cat, Pretty Boy Floyd and Ernest T. Bass belong to us. Hayu lives with Mrs. Z. Trixie lives with Cyndi the haircutter. Little Rocky went to heaven.
